First edition of “the night of NGOs”: Educo winner in the education category

The Fundación Educación y Cooperación (Educo) was honored on November 24, 2022 in Ouagadougou on the occasion of the 1st edition of the “Night of NGOs” ceremony. It received, in the Education category, the 1st prize composed of a trophy for “his contribution to strengthening the education system in Burkina Faso” and a certificate of recognition for his “commitment to contributing to development”.

For information, Educo is a Global Cooperation and Humanitarian Action NGO which has been working for more than 25 years for children and for the defense of their rights, especially the right to quality education and protection. It operates in about 14 countries in Africa including Burkina Faso. It covers several areas including education, protection, health, social cohesion, empowerment of adolescents and young people. Its vision is to contribute to a “better world where all children fully enjoy their rights and live in dignity”.

As a reminder, “The Night of NGOs” was initiated by the communication agency KEREN Communication-Experts-Associé with the support of the Ministry of National Solidarity and Humanitarian Action and the General Directorate of Cooperation (DGCOOP) . Placed under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Apollinaire Joachim Kyelem de Tambèla, the first edition took place on November 24, 2022 in Ouagadougou around the theme “NGOs and challenges of the moment: what contribution for a Burkina of peace and security? “. According to its promoter, Pima Bazié, this ceremony is intended as a framework of recognition, enhancement and encouragement dedicated to NGOs/Development Associations and Foundations for their participation in the development of Burkina Faso.
